Holiday traditions

Thankful

We wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving, and hope you are able to spend the day with those you love. Here are a few fun holiday traditions submitted by our readers!

Belinda says… We have a holiday tradition, on or about the 23rd of december, which is my daughter’s b/d we bake and decorate christmas cookies, dozens of them , then afterwards we pair up and we build and decorate our famous gingerbread house’s. it is so much fun, and has been a tradition for the past 15 years.

Jodi says… We just started playing “Turkey Bingo” last year, so I don’t know if I would consider it a tradition yet or not…but my kids are counting down the days until “Turkey Bingo!” So…I guess it might become a tradition. I think they loved it because the whole family joined in, laughing and “complaining” when their prizes were taken from them.  Good family fun!

Lisa says… favorite holiday tradition would be baking cookies with my mother and now my step grand children.

Marie says… Every year, we get up early and run a Thanksgiving 5K race. Then we come home and make a fire and spend the morning listening to music and cooking together.
